Peachtree T-Shirt Design Contest Voting Opens Today
March 10, 2025 - Before runners hit the streets of Atlanta for the 56th Running of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race, they have an important decision to make—what will this year's iconic finisher's shirt look like?
Starting today, the public can cast their votes for the winning design in the 2025 Peachtree T-Shirt Contest. For the first time ever, voting will take place exclusively on the AJC News app. Voting runs through April 10, and each voter can cast one vote per day.
"The Peachtree finisher's shirt isn't just a shirt—it's a badge of honor that participants treasure," said Rich Kenah, CEO of Atlanta Track Club and race director of the Peachtree. "The design contest tradition continues with record participation, just as we saw record-breaking participation at last month's Publix Atlanta Marathon Weekend. We're gearing up for another sellout Peachtree, and we can't wait to see which design runners will proudly wear across the finish line."
This year's contest drew 378 submissions, with a panel of judges from Atlanta Track Club and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution selecting five finalists. The winner will receive $5,600 in honor of the 56th Peachtree, making this the largest prize purse in contest history. The runner-up will receive $3,500, and third place will earn $2,500.
The five finalists are: Bart Sasso, 44, Somerville, Mass.; Beckie Dominick, 33, Gainesville, Ga.; Megan Kincaid, 34, Greensboro, N.C.; Michele Ronan, 37, Atlanta, Ga.; and Russ Vann, 37, Atlanta, Ga.

Registration for the 56th Running of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race will open on Monday, April 1, and remain open through April 30 for both Atlanta Track Club members and the general public.
For the first time since 2019, the Peachtree Lottery will return. Atlanta Track Club members receive guaranteed entry at the lowest price and placement in Start Waves A-M. Non-members must enter the lottery for a chance to participate. All lottery entrants have an equal chance of selection but are not guaranteed entry. Entrants credit cards will only be charged if selected. Lottery results will be announced in early May.
